Warp Records have unveiled details for a Gonjasufi remix album, entitled The Caliph's Tea Party.
The collection will feature reworks of the LA-based vocalist by a diverse cast of indie, electronic and experimental artists. Warp mainstay Bibio makes an appearance, along with Brooklyn-based producer Bear in Heaven and psychedelic drone artist Oneohtrix Point Never. A particularly dark and spaced out interpretation comes from Mark Pritchard, the man behind Harmonic 313, Global Communication and a host of other projects. Most of the tracks are taken from Gonjasufi's debut album, A Sufi and a Killer, while one originated on Kowboyz & Indianz / My Only Friend, a 7-inch released this past January. The title track, remixed here by Broadcast and The Focus Group, is previously unreleased.
