- House, techno and dubstep are all on the menu in Cardiff and Bristol this weekend.
- August's Bank Holiday weekend is traditionally one of the most hectic periods in the UK's clubbing calendar, with punters being typically spoiled for choice when it comes to deciding where they're going to end up. All this choice can be a little confusing, so we've decided to help you out this year with a regional round-up of the hottest electronic music events going on this weekend. In both Bristol and Cardiff, Saturday night entertainment is all about four-to-the-floor. The Welsh capital will see a visit from Secretsundaze's Giles Smith and James Priestley, who will appear at Backroom's event in the vaults underneath the old Natwest building. Meanwhile, across the border at Bristol's Dojo Lounge, Josh Wink will be playing a rare intimate show for Just Jack. There is little going on in Cardiff on the actual Sunday night, but Bristolians will still have a few nightlife options to choose from. Arguably the biggest party in the region this weekend is Crazy Legs' second consecutive Bank Holiday Sunday bash at Bristol's Thekla, which will see all three co-founders of the Hessle Audio label appear together. As if the likes of Ramadanman, Pangaea and Ben UFO wasn't enough, the promoters have gone even further, securing the services of Hessle signings Untold and James Blake for the evening. If dubstep isn't really your thing, then you might want to head down to New City Sound's party at The Warehouse, where Joey Negro will be laying down a headlining set of his usual disco-infused house stylings.
