  • LA-based producer John Tejada and Berlin-based guitarist Takeshi Nishimoto will release Solace, their fifth album as I'm Not a Gun, late next month. Tejada and Nishimoto have been collaborating off and on since 2003, when they debuted as I'm Not a Gun with the album Everything at Once. The project shows a very different side of Tejada, who eschews his usual tech house beats for live instrumentation and IDM-inspired electronic sounds. For his part, the classically trained Nishimoto strums and plucks at his guitar in a style that calls to mind avant-rock bands like Tortoise or The Durutti Column. Solace will be the duo's fifth album as I'm Not a Gun, following 2008's Mirror. Like most of their records, it will see release on Berlin-based experimental label City Centre Offices. Tracklist 01. Turbine 02. Big Steps 03. Equal Path 04. Colored Sky, Colored Mind 05. In Sepia 06. Music for Adults 07. Runners 08. Cold Dream 09. Red or Yellow and Blue 10. Fields of Autumn City Centre Offices will release Solace on September 28th, 2010.
