Seattle-based artist Rafael Anton Irisarri, better known as The Sight Below , has a new full-length out today on the Australian experimental label Room40 .The North Bend will be Irisarri's second album this year after It All Falls Apart , his sophomore effort as The Sight Below. Under that guise, Irisarri plays drone music mixed with dub techno and hints of shoegaze, while his music under his own name tends to be more squarely focused on ambient and modern classical. The North Bend was largely inspired by the natural landscape of the Pacific Northwest, and takes its title from a town in Washington state where David Lynch filmed the majority of his TV series Twin Peaks . Mastering was done by drone artist and Room40 labelhead Lawrence English. Pantha Du Prince . The pair will play a string of dates along the West Coast in September, beginning at The Echo in Los Angeles and finishing up a week later at Decibel Festival in Seattle, where Irisarri happens to work as Strategic Development Director.
