Just Jack, Subloaded and Bloc are amongst the promoters taking part in Motion's forthcoming series of events.
Motion Skate Park have announced details of their In:Motion series of events, which will commence on Friday 1st October.
As far as larger clubs go, Motion is one of the city's most popular spaces, and they'll be welcoming the students back to the city with a very special weekend programme leading up to their New Year's Eve extravaganza. The club's promotional team have brought in a some of the biggest and best parties from both inside and outside of the city, covering house, techno, dubstep, hip-hop, drum & bass, breakbeat, UK garage and much more.
Hip-hop legend KRS-One will headline the inaugural event, with High Contrast, Fabio and D-Bridge set to grace the stage for Hospitality the following evening. Simian Mobile Disco will bring their Delicatessen party to Bristol for the first time on 8th October with a guest line-up that includes tech house from both Paul Woolford and Shonky, while breakbeat stalwarts Blowpop will host the cut-up styles of DJ Yoda and the retro rave of Orbital, with both of them set to DJ on the night.
It's been a good few years since Curtis Jones descended on Bristol with his Green Velvet moniker, so fans of jacking house and techno should be heartened to hear that he'll be headlining Bloc's InMotion event, where he'll be joined by Andrew Weatherall, Claude VonStroke, October and Julio Bashmore, with dubstep fans being catered for by Scuba, Ramadanman and Appleblim. Starkey, Feadz and Ed Rush are amongst the raft of names announced for Shit The Bed's fourteenth installment, while Pinch's Subloaded party will celebrate their sixth birthday on Friday 29th October. Doc Scott will be hoping to prove that he's still the "king of the rollers" on the night, while the main dubstep draw is a special 3-hour DMZ showcase from Mala, Loefah, Coki, and the irrepressible Sgt Pokes.
Just Jack will belie their reputation as Bristol's biggest house and techno bash with the inclusion of Martyn and Joy Orbison at their Halloween bash, but ardent fans of more four-to-the-floor styles should be kept more than happy with both Seth Troxler and Will Saul. As if that wasn't enough, they've also managed to secure the services of Booka Shade for their Bristol debut on Friday 19th November. Coldcut will also top the bill at the Bristol leg of Ninja Tune's 20th anniversary tour, while Crazy Legs will team up with London's Urban Nerds for a huge garage and funky bill that includes DJ EZ, Sticky, Deadboy and Ill Blu.
Tickets for the all of the Bristol In:Motion events are currently available to purchase directly from RA Tickets.
