The Sydney-based pair have dropped their debut LP.
Pocket 808, a collaboration between Sydney-based artists Sameer Sengupta and Ken Cloud, have just released their debut album
Proximo
on
Hussle
.
Proximo
is a two-year long project. In producing the album, Sengupta and Cloud—who spent several years producing under the Poxymusic guise—have drawn upon an array of influences, resulting in a particularly diverse 11 tracks. The indie-electro of "Ghostship" and "Monstor (Babe)" opens the album, eventually giving way to more traditional pop, house and dub sounds. They've enlisted several Australian identities to provide vocals across the LP, with Future Classic regular Jamie Lloyd and Faker's Nathan Hudson among the guests, while San Francisco's Claude VonStroke chips in with a remix.
