  • Loop, a new Thursday night weekly, has kicked off in Sydney. The idea behind the night is simple. The organizers – who are also behind the regular Shug and Loosekaboose parties – have locked in several local DJs to act as rotating residents at the recently renovated Tone. Onetime RA podcaster Simon Caldwell tops the cast, with Future Classic associate Jamie Lloyd, Loosekaboose resident Trinity and Shrug resident Dave Stuart also set to spin regularly. As far as music policy goes, there isn't one. Expect everything from deep house and disco, to jazz and funk from each of the residents, who come from a large variety of musical backgrounds and styles. Each week, the night will get underway at an early 6:00 PM, and wrap up sometime around 1:00 AM. And if you like to much down on dinner while listening to beats, to coincide with the early start each week, there will plenty of food available to order from the Tone bar.
