  • Berlin label Ostgut Ton will present a label showcase alongside Animal Farm at Glasgow's Sub Club on Friday, October 22nd. The label will come under representation on the night by Marcel Fengler and Ryan Elliott—two DJs who've traveled disparate paths towards their Berghain residencies. Starting out in the city around the late '90s, Fengler rose through the ranks of Berlin's club scene, spinning at venues such as E-Werk and Tresor, before finally making the switch to Berghain and becoming a resident. He's also been an integral cog in the Ostgut Ton machine in recent years, releasing four 12-inches through the label; the latest of which, Enigma, dropped late last month. Elliott on the other hand is a native of Detroit who made his name first and foremost as DJ with the Spectral Sound imprint. Moving to Berlin at the end of '00s, Elliott quickly established himself on the city's club circuit while simultaneously managing Spectral. He's since bagged a residency at Berghain/Panorama Bar, making him the first and only US artist on the club's in-house roster. The pair are billed to helm the entire evening at Sub Club on Friday, October 22nd. Techno should of course be expected, although as DJs Fengler and Elliott should be considered among Ostgut's most diverse propositions.
