The Metro Area member will headline Futureboogie this weekend.
Bristol will get a touch of New York disco this Saturday night, with an appearance from Darshan Jesrani at Basement 45.
Jesrani is billed for the gig as Metro Area, the name of his acclaimed project with DJ and producer Morgan Geist. Together, the two producers were a driving force behind the disco revival of the '00s, having joined the dots between italo, house and electro with their defining self-titled album from 2002, which included "Miura", our top track of the last decade. Aside from their well-received Fabric mix in 2008, the pair have mostly worked separately in recent years, with Geist focusing on solo productions and Jesrani remixing tracks for labels like Tirk and Moodmusic. Jesrani will don the Metro Area moniker for his Bristol debut this Saturday night, drawing from his collection of rare, classic and obscure vinyl cuts. Support will come from the Futureboogie DJ's, Lukas, JG Alim, Little Tom and Frankie Mann.
Tickets for Futureboogie present: Metro Area can be found right here from RA Tickets.
