Modeselektor added to Bloc 2011

- Bloc has confirmed another batch of artists for their festival in March, including stages programmed by Modeselektion, Numbers, Outlook, Plex and Bleep.com. Probably the biggest new addition to the festival is the Modselektion stage, which follows a blueprint very similar to the German duo's night at Warehouse Project: an eclectic bill centered on dubstep and punishing Berghain techno. Ostgut Ton artist Ben Klock will provide the latter, while Ramadanman and Ikonika take care of the former. Modeselektor and Apparat will play separately this time, and German artist Siriusmo adds a further curveball to the bill. Meanwhile, Jamie XX, Rustie and SBTRKT will all play the Numbers stage, along with some of the Glaswegian crew themselves. Warp's online shop Bleep.com will host Kyle Hall, Boxcutter and Luke Abbott, plus a "very special guest" who has yet to be revealed. Staying true to form, London outfit Plex contribute a rather apocalyptic techno two-punch: Ancient Methods and Silent Servant of Sandwell District. Croatian bass festival Outlook will be in the house as well, represented by Iration Steppaz, Redlight, Top Cat and more. Other artists announced today include The Advent, Oscar Mulero and Chicago veteran DJ Funk. A Guy Called Gerald has been added to the I Love Acid stage, where he'll allegedly play a set made up entirely of records from before 1988. All of these acts join a bill that already includes Aphex Twin, Magnetic Man, Mary Anne Hobbs and dozens more.
