The superstar trio will play a custom-built venue in Miami during the final weekend of March.
Swedish House Mafia have confirmed that they will perform a 10-hour DJ set in Miami on March 26th.
A keen-eyed reader will note that this date falls during the final week of March, i.e. the period during which many artists and promoters had expected this year's Winter Music Conference to take place, until organizers announced it would occur two weeks earlier. Mafia member Steve Angello was among the most vocal opponents of WMC's dates, using his Twitter account to say things like "If you want to experience all the good parties in Miami, don't go on March 8-12" and "Let's rebel the wmc dates." Whether the trio also appear during the conference proper remains to be seen, but so far they've stuck to their word.
Just like their last Miami appearance in October, the event will take place in a custom-built venue called The Masquerade Motel, where, according to a press release, "you check in and be whoever you want to be." As the only act on the lineup, Swedish House Mafia have billed themselves for a 10-hour set. They even put together a little teaser trailer:
