  • Sub:stance will stage their first event of 2011 this coming Friday, January 14th. It seems that Berlin's biggest dubstep party won't be leaning too heavily on the pure form of the sound at their next party. Headliner Greg Sanders, AKA Distance, presents the clearest half-step vision of the billed acts, although even he ventured into Autonomic-style D&B territory recently. One of the chief purveyors of said sound, Instra:mental, also spin, while Funky pioneer Roska will provide some four-four based contrast. Sub:stance founder Scuba usually explores the full panorama of the bass music stratosphere, and you can expect a skewed hip-hop slant to Brighton-based producer Slugabed's set. Meanwhile, the club's in-house promotion Finest Friday will be in full-swing upstairs in Panorama Bar. After French selector DJ Deep gets things warmed up, attendees can expect sets from Novel Sound man Levon Vincent and Ostgut Ton's Ben Klock.
