  • BBC Radio 1's Benjamin Benstead, better known as Benji B, will be stopping into Tone for his Sydney debut next Thursday. Since last October, Benstead has become best known for taking over Mary Anne Hobbs' famed weekly Thursday night Radio 1 slot. Off the airwaves, he's an accomplished club DJ: with a strong grounding in hip-hop, the Englishman's palette stretches from dubstep and techno to more experimental sounds. To complement Benstead's eclectic taste, the promoters have enlisted the equally as assorted sounds of Global Communication member Mark Pritchard. Since relocating to Sydney several years ago, Pritchard has become an established name on the city's dubstep and beat circuit. Those attending American soul artist Aloe Blacc's Sydney Festival appearance will also be able to catch Benstead in action the night after his gig at Tone.
