The desert festival's staggering bill also includes Sasha, Cut Copy, Animal Collective, Green Velvet and many more.
The lineup for Coachella 2011 has been announced, with a typically enormous list of rock, pop, hip hop and electronic acts confirmed for the three-day festival in Southern California.
Coachella's biggest draw is always rock and pop, and this year's festival is no exception: some of the main headliners are Kings of Leon, Arcade Fire, Kanye West and The Strokes. But many of electronic music's biggest names this year's bill as well, including Sasha, The Chemical Brothers, Paul Van Dyk, Erick Morillo, Swedish House Mafia member Steve Angello and Cocoon boss Sven Vath. Aussie synth-rockers Cut Copy nab a slot as well, and dubstep supergroup Magnetic Man add yet another notch to their lengthy list of festival gigs.
Other subheavy acts include Mary Anne Hobbs, Caspa and former hardcore singer Skrillex. Robyn and Trentemoller form the Scandinavian contingent, and hipsters get their fix with Crystal Castles, Boys Noize and Klaxons. Psychedelic favorites Animal Collective deliver a headlining set on the festival's second day.
Looking a bit further down on Coachella's iconic flyer, you'll find an eclectic mix of more underground acts, such as Kyle Hall, Brandt Brauer Frick and Chicago house luminary Green Velvet, plus former Breaking Through subjects Sleigh Bells. More off-kilter beats will come from Joy Orbison, Nosaj Thing, Daedelus, SBTRKT and Mount Kimbie. Indie rock's weireder end will be represented by HEALTH, Lightning Bolt and Ariel Pink's Haunted Graffiti.
