- This year's annual event in Amsterdam also packs in Ricardo Villalobos, Adam Beyer, Chris Liebing, the Innervisions crew and many more.
- The lineup has been announced for this summer's Awakenings Festival, taking place on Saturday, June 25th. As usual, the massive party will be spread out across numerous tents and open-air dance floors (eight in total) in Spaarnwoude, just west of Amsterdam. As with Awakening's semi-regular events around The Netherlands, the music ranges from minimal house to pounding techno, with a special emphasis on the latter. Big names include Ricardo Villalobos, Seth Troxler, Laurent Garnier's LBS show and the full Innervisions crew (Dixon, Âme and Henrik Schwarz). As for more serious 4/4 sounds, the extensive bill includes Adam Beyer, Chris Liebing, Sandwell District, Dave Clarke and Italian jock Joseph Capriati. Ben Klock, Marcel Dettmann and Len Faki will represent Berghain, while Jeff Mills, Kevin Saunderson and Derrick May provide a bit of Motor City flavor. All of this somehow wraps up by the comfortable hour of 23:00.
