The house icon gets ready for a Thursday night party at The Shelborne during WMC week.
Chicago's Derrick Carter will headline a party at The Shelborne on the Thursday night of this year's Miami Winter Music Conference.
Carter has been a presence in his native Chicago's house music scene for more than two decades. He first started releasing music in the late '80's, and since then he's developed a reputation for his trademark style of "boompty" house, not just in the Windy City but around the world. Recently, he announced plans to relaunch his Classic Music imprint with co-founder Luke Solomon, but the primary reason to party at the Shelborne will be Carter's Fabric 56 mix, which will hit stores the week of the conference. Supporting sets come from Terry Hunter and Shelborne DJ Jonathan Cowan.
Tickets to Derrick Carter's Fabric party at The Shelborne are available here on RA.
