  • London's Corsica Studios play host to some of the UK's foremost disco crate diggers at the Dig Deep For Japan event later this month. Horse Meat Disco, Bad Passion Project, Idjut Boys, Gerry Rooney, Nick The Record and Felix Dickinson will all spin. Coverage of Japan's recent tsunami-induced troubles has depicted another of the world's great cultures struggling to combat a natural disaster. 15,000 people are still reported missing, and 300,000 remain in evacuation centres or temporary accommodation. The Dig Deep event will help to raise money for The Japan Earthquake and Tsunami Relief Fund. Both venue and DJs have offered their services free of charge across two rooms for the night. Headliners James Hillard, Severino, Luke Howard and Jim Stanton are the DJs behind the seminal Horse Meat Disco night, which takes place at the Eagle in South London every Sunday. They are joined in room 1 by Bad Passion Project, who have been offering a monthly dose of disco and associated genres to residents of East London since 2009. In room 2, Brighton's record dealer to the stars, Nick The Record, appears alongside Gerry Rooney of Black Cock Records fame, and Felix Dickinson.
