  • Paxahau has announced more than two dozen additions to the 2011 edition of Movement. Included in the announcement are the daily main-stage headliners. Saturday the 28th Chicago icon Felix Da Housecat gets the opening night honors, while Sunday sees Carl Craig perform live as 69 for the first time ever. Closing the formal festivities on Monday the 30th will be big beat legend Fatboy Slim, who will be making his first-ever appearance at the festival. In all, 29 artists have been added. On the techno front, Ostgut Ton artists Ben Klock and Ryan Elliott (a Detroit transplant) join their previously-announced labelmate Marcel Dettmann, and Adam X will perform live as Traversable Wormhole. As usual, there will be plenty of Detroit talent to see, including Claude Young and long-time radio DJ Al Ester, as well as Ghostly DJ Mike Servito and the Detroit Techno Militia crew DTM 5x5; local producer Kero will play live. Dutch DJ Steve Rachmad will also be playing, along with UK vet James Zabiela and minimal techno jock Dubfire. The festival will feature a strong showing of Desolat artists: Loco Dice and Livio & Roby will handle the decks while Martin Buttrich and Guti (whose debut album is about to be released on the label) will play live sets along with dubby duo Pulshar. On the disco tip, DJ Harvey and Metro Area will both be appearing. For those looking for a break from 4/4 sounds, the festival will also feature the experimental leanings of The Gaslamp Killer and Warp live act Hudson Mohawke, as well as UK dubstep artist Ramadanman.
