  • UK artist Scuba will head to Miami for a Hotflush Recordings party during Ultra this weekend. Since founding Hotflush in 2003, Scuba has grown it into a leading institution within the ever-changing world of dubstep. The label has put out a steady stream of forward-thinking releases, including acclaimed LPs like Scuba's Triangulation and Mount Kimbie's Crooks and Lovers, both of which ranked among the top 10 of RA's 2010 favorites. Meanwhile, Rose's Sub:stance night has helped bring bass music to Berlin since 2008; early last year saw the release of an official mix CD on Ostgut Ton. This weekend's showcase will feature a crew of Hotflush producers taking over Electric Pickle's intimate confines. Besides Scuba, fellow UK DJs Roska and George FitzGerald will appear, along with the American duo Sepalcure. Support comes from Canadian bass DJ XI.
