- Samiyam's next full-length is due for release in June.
The next album by LA-based producer Sam Baker, AKA Samiyam, will come out in June on Brainfeeder.
Samiyam is the artist behind Brainfeeder's first official release: 2008's Rap Beats Vol. 1. In the years since then, the Michigan-born, LA-based artist has put out 12-inches on Hyperdub and Poo Bah, and teamed up with Flying Lotus for tracks on Rush Hour and Ghostly International (as FLYamSAM). His style is quintessential Brainfeeder: weird and chunky hip-hop beats with a psychedelic edge. The new LP, modestly titled Sam Baker's Album, features mostly previously unreleased tracks, plus a few that have appeared on compilations over the past two years.
