  • Next month, Bristol's Immerse Records will release a compilation of tracks by the Russian drum & bass producer Kontext. Real name Stanislav Sevostyanikhin, Kontext makes tracks that flirt with techno and dubstep without committing to either one. His atmospheric, IDM-flavored style has earned him increasing international acclaim over the years, thanks in part to Immerse releases like Convex Curved Mirror and Falling to Weightlessness. The upcoming two-disc collection features tracks from those and other records by the St. Petersburg-based artist, plus a few exclusives: "Star Clouds," "Egosurfing," "Soyuz Apollo (Instrumental)," "Inracranial Vintage Radio" and a remix of "Hometown Swamp." All of the tracks were produced at Kontext's studio in St. Petersburg. Tracklist CD1: 01. Sattva 02. Convex Curved Mirror 03. Star Clouds 04. Blinkende Stjerne 05. Plumes 06. Falling to Weightlessness 07. Egosurfing 08. Soyuz-Apollo (instrumental) CD2: 01. Bilinguism 02. No More Room in Hell 03. Searching For Transcendental 04. Clinch 05. Hometown Swamp (Remix) 06. On the Bottom of the Glass 07. Spare Senses 08. Inracranial Vintage Radio Immerse will release Kontext on May 16th, 2011.
