Carl Craig, Speedy J and Dave Clarke are among the talent playing across the city this weekend.
RA rounds up all this weekend's Queen's Day action in Amsterdam.
It's not often that two nights of clubbing hold such a multitude of big names in Amsterdam. This Friday and Saturday night, though, will see some of techno and house's most respected acts spread out across the city, with clubs like Air, Trouw and Studio 80 all getting in on the action.
Tonight, Carl Craig and Moodymann will bring the Detroit flavour with to Air for a Planet E label showcase. Across town at Trouw, Technasia and Joris Voorn will be spinning under the Rejekted banner, with Cassy and Frank Lorber also on the bill. British deep house producer Glimpse will land at Studio 80 for a live set, where he'll be joined by 2000 and One, Shinedoe and Sandy Huner.
For something a little more hard-hitting, Electric Deluxe will be playing host to a seven-hour set with techno heavyweights Speedy J and Chris Liebing, while Lucy, Marcel Fengler and Simian Mobile Disco take care of the second room. That same night, Butch will take his DC-10-approved tech house to Westerunie, where Karotte, Mathias Kaden and The Martinez Brothers have also been enlisted to play.
On Saturday, Wolf + Lamb and Soul Clap will share the decks at Trouw for the Amsterdam leg of their current DJ-Kicks tour, while Sebastien Leger, Secret Cinema and Ramon Tapia hold it down at Wertheimpark. If you're looking for something a bit more seaborne, Warren Fellow and Steve Rachmad will playing aboard We Are Connected's boat party, along with local stalwarts Patrice Baumel and Nuno dos Santoss under their 360 guise. Anyone looking for another techno fix can head to Melkweg for sets from Dave Clarke, Jeff Rushin and Tim Wolff.
