Movement warms up with Mark Farina

- The Mushroom Jazz man heads to Detroit next Friday for an official pre-festival party.
- Mark Farina will play the Family Ties 4 party at Taste Pizzabar next weekend in Detroit for an official Movement warm up party. Originally from Chicago, Farina has been involved in house music for more than two decades. A long-time resident of San Francisco, he might be most well known for his seminal Mushroom Jazz mix series as well as the range of styles he weaves into his DJ sets, from downtempo and hip-hop to deep house. He's stayed busy touring in support of Mushroom Jazz 7, which dropped at the end of last year, and in Detroit he'll top a bill with three rooms of music and a cast of locals including Chuck Daniels and DJ Seoul, both of whom will be performing at Movement. The party will also celebrate 15 years of operation for Detroit's /sin-de-kat/ crew, which is on the eve of launching its own vinyl imprint, Coyote Cuts.
