  • New York-based producer Roy Dank, more widely known as My Cousin Roy, will be landing in Australia for two dates next week. Dank rose to recognition as the founder of Wurst Edits, a relatively short-lived imprint that played host to a string of well-received disco edits throughout the late '00s, supplied by the likes of Runaway and Lee Douglas. After shutting down the label in 2009, Dank said goodbye to releasing edits went on to establish The Wurst Music Co, which has subsequently dropped 12-inches from a number of East Coast producers. Ever since originally founding Wurst Edits, the American has maintained a strong presence on the US circuit as a DJ, all while regularly heading across to Europe for appearances. Dank will be getting his maiden Australian mini-tour underway with a date in Melbourne for Animals Dancing at Mercat Basement on May 20th. He'll then touch down in Sydney the following night, heading up Picnic's showing at the Civic Underground. Tickets to Dank's Sydney debut are available here at RA.
