  • Berlin-based techno icon Ben Klock will play two weekends of parties in North America, starting this Friday in Minneapolis. As a resident DJ for Berlin's Berghain club, and a long-time contributor to the club's Ostgut Ton label, Klock has carved out a reputation for raw, hard-hitting techno with a dash of house, as often displayed in his marathon sets. He also stays busy managing his own Klockworks imprint, which mostly houses his own utilitarian productions. The tour begins this Friday in Minneapolis, where Klock will join his protégé DVS1 at Future Classic. The following night he'll make his Chicago debut at Smart Bar with Ryan Elliott, a Detroit native and recent addition to the Ostgut Ton roster. The following weekend sees a late-night appearance at Stereo in Montreal with Guy Gerber. From there, Klock heads to Detroit, where he'll help close the Movement Torino stage with fellow Berliner Marcel Dettmann.
