  • Lee Burridge has a new label and party series in the works called All Day I Dream. The project follows the same idea as Burridge's 2008 RA Podcast, which he titled "All Day I Dream of Her" (and which we've temporarily unarchived for your listening pleasure). "Basically it's just about that one kind of music, you know, beautiful, melancholic, gorgeous house music... groups like Kollektiv Turmstrasse. Dial does it sometimes, Supplement Facts does it sometimes." Burridge himself has done it a quite bit as well: aside from his RA Podcast, there's the whimsical third disc of his Balance 012 mix from 2007. Now, he and past collaborator Matthew Dekay will launch a label devoted completely to this sound. Audiofly have produced the first 12-inch, Sunrise, tentatively scheduled for the end of June. Another record will come out every six weeks from there, with future releases coming from Burridge, Dekay, Alexi Delano and Konrad Black. The other part of the project aims to create the situation where this kind of music works best: outdoors, during the day, preferably at a small-ish party. Burridge is planning eight events that fit this description in the US by the end of the year—four in LA, four in New York. The first takes place on June 12th on a rooftop in Brooklyn. Further details are still forthcoming.
