The eccentric UK artist has
four appearances set for San Francisco, Chicago and New York next weekend.
Luke Vibert will head to the United States next weekend for a rare mini-tour of the country.
A prolific producer since the 1990's, Vibert has used a number of aliases to release his trademark style of trip hop, downtempo and acid on labels like Planet Mu, Rephlex and Ninja Tune. Besides his given name, he might be most well-known as Wagon Christ, and earlier this year he released Toomorrow, the first full-length album from that project in seven years. It's been almost five years since Vibert last played the US, and he'll perform at four events in three cities next weekend, starting Thursday at Public Works in San Francisco. From there he'll head to Chicago for two separate sets: a Friday night headlining spot at Smart Bar followed by a Saturday noon-time performance outside at the Jay Pritzker Pavilion in Millennium Park. Later that same Saturday, Vibert will touch down in New York to finish the weekend at Mister Saturday Night. Tickets for that event are available here on RA.
