We take a look at what's going down in Paris around this Thursday's public holiday.
Magda, Gui Boratto, James Murphy and Soul Clap are among those playing in Paris over Bastille Day this year.
Promoters are always quick off the mark when it comes to exploiting an extra day off work, and this Bastille Day is of course no exception. The event that is proving most popular among RA readers this Wednesday 13th July is, perhaps understandably so, Minus' Magda and BPitch's Ellen Allien engaging in a back-to-back session at Espace Pierre Cardin.
Showcase has invited Gui Boratto and his friends to oversee the evening's entertainment, which means live sets from the Brazilian Kompakt producer, Robert Babicz and Dadda Attack, with Daniel Kuhnen getting behind the decks. Over at Rex, meanwhile, there'll be a decidedly US feel to things: duos Soul Clap and Benoit & Sergio both appear alongside the former's fellow SECT member Tanner Ross—expect plenty of slo-mo house and pop shenanigans.
Highlights elsewhere across the evening include James Murphy, Mount Kimbie and Superpitcher getting stuck in for We Love Fantasy 2011; Greg Brockmann and Thomas Muller making their way to Concorde Atlantique for Fruity & Sweet; and Rinse FM's Oneman bringing the bass to Social Club.
Tickets for Magda and Ellen Allien's back-to-back session, Gui Boratto & friends, and Soul Clap's appearance at Rex are available to purchase from RA Tickets.
