Berlin Festival returns to Tempelhof Airport on the 9th and 10th of September.Love Parade disaster , which happened just a few weeks prior, the Berlin Festival has resurfaced with expanded efforts in 2011 with the additional Club Xberg program at Arena. On the Friday, the club leg will host a trio of local label showcases, including one by the electro-pop imprint Greco-Roman . Here is also where the bulk of the festival's DJs will perform, including the likes of A-Trak , DJ Hell , Diplo , Brodinski , Mr. Oizo and Jimmy Edgar .Battles , Apparat (with his band), Hercules & Love Affair , The Rapture . Mount Kimbie lend their pensive bass to Friday's bill along with James Blake , whose melodic bass-inspired pop has managed to breach both underground and popular music circles. On Saturday, Berlin-based Boys Noize , Dial Records artist Pantha Du Prince and African kuduro-tech outfit Buraka Som Sistema break up the otherwise indie and pop-heavy affair. 11 Comments
