- King Britt and Rucyl join forces on the label's first full length.
Next month, Saturn Never Sleeps will release a collaboration by label foudners King Britt and Rucyl collaboration called Yesterday's Machine.
Britt and Rucyl first worked together two years ago at the Institute of Contemporary Art in their hometown of Philadelphia, when they were commissioned to collaborate on an installation inspired by the jazz collective Sun Ra. The occasion led to two experimental electronic shows under the name of Saturn Never Sleeps, and eventually appearances at festivals like Moogfest, Stadtmusik Festival in Switzerland and Miami's Art Basel. Meanwhile, the pair developed the label and its first LP. Yesterday's Machine is said to be album of electronic soul, combining Britt's beats with Rucyl's ethereal vocals.
