  • Later this month, Oakland-based deep house producer AYBEE will don a new alias, o1o, for a mini-album on Further Records. Entitled Futurespective, the record shares much in common with Ancient Tones, AYBEE's last album for Further: it has the same spacey feel as the bulk of his productions, but trades the 4/4 pulse for syncopated, hip-hop-inspired rhythms. All seven of the tracks are relatively concise, always clocking in below five minutes. The album will be released exclusively on vinyl, and much like Further's other 12-inch releases, comes packaged in a screen-printed sleeve. Meanwhile, Further's cassette department is humming along steadily. Last month saw the release of two new full-lengths on tape: Celestial Acid, an album by Seattle-based artist Yard, and Books, a long broken-beat piece by Raica, label founder Chloe Harris's experimental project. You can hear full streams of these and other releases on Further Records' Bandcamp page. Tracklist 01. Beat Datazz 02. Overcome 03. Bunny Rabbitz 04. Find It Funny 05. Refuge 06.
