  • Damian Lazarus will bring the sounds of his Crosstown Rebels imprint to Los Angeles on Saturday, August 27th. A London native now living in LA, Lazarus has been a part of the global house and techno scene for over a decade. These days he spends most of his time running Crosstown Rebels, the label that helped launch artists like Jamie Jones, Art Department and most recently Maceo Plex. The label is also home to the recently revived Get Lost mix CD series, which led to an infamous party of the same name at Electric Pickle in Miami and other spots around the world. Next month will see the release of the fourth Get Lost mix, curated by Lazarus himself. For the all-night bash at The Music Box, Lazarus has enlisted the full Visionquest crew: Seth Troxler, Lee Curtiss, Ryan Crosson and Shaun Reeves for their first appearance in LA together. Also billed are Art Department and Deniz Kurtel, two live acts who released their debut albums on Crosstown Rebels earlier this year. Local DJ trio Droog have a turn on the decks, ahead of their debut record on Crosstown Rebels, due for release next month. Lazarus will play as well, and aside from the "special guests" promised on the flyer, punters can expect an audio-visual extravaganza with interactive art installations and a "15 foot monster-themed DJ booth."
