Perc plays LA

- The English producer hits the west coast this weekend.
- London-based techno artist Ali Wells, better known as Perc, make his LA debut tonight. The past year has seen Wells and his Perc Trax imprint become two of the most exciting names in techno. Pushing a dark and hard-hitting sound, both Wells and the seven-year-old label have pushed a steely, no-nonsense style of techno—a niche also being championed by the likes of CLR and Electric Deluxe. So far, this year has seen Wells drop his well-received artist album, Wicker & Steel, preside over the release of almost one-dozen singles as a label head, and provide remixes for Tommy Four Seven, Surgeon and Samuel L. Session. Tonight's gig will take place at Medusa Lounge courtesy of Droid Behaviour. Promoters and residents Raiz will also spin, teaming up with Truncate for a set under their Audio Injection moniker.
