New State Music has put together a collection of club remixes from the '80s and '90s called Hard to Find: Classic & Rare Remixes . Hard To Find , we've sent our vinyl archaeologists to sift through the wreckage of acid house, throwing aside the Alison Limerick double packs and long-forgotten Shamen promos to bring you the gold," writes DJ History 's Bill Brewster in the liner notes. "But not only are these the very best of the remixes from the most creative period of house music, we like to think they define it, too." The two-CD package collects old remixes of even older artists: Andrew Weatherall remixing St. Etienne, The Chemical Brothers' rework of Leftield's single with John Lydon and so on.
