  • After North Coast Music Festival takes over Union Park in Chicago next month, Volatl will collaborate with NCMF to host an official afterparty at Transit with Steve Bug. Bug is a veteran DJ and the brains behind Poker Flat Recordings, parent label to Dessous and Audiomatique. The Berlin-based family of labels has put out well over 200 releases from Trentemoller, Guido Schneider, Martin Landsky and Bug himself among many others. Shortly after this upcoming stateside visit (which includes a set in New York at Electric Zoo Festival earlier in the weekend), he'll release a new double CD compilation on Dessous, split between Bug himself and Dessous regular Phonique. The afterparty in Chicago takes place across three rooms in Transit; in the main room, Bug will be joined by Swedish techno DJ Ida Engberg. Local export Kate Simko will play as well, along with a grip of other Midwest artists, including Woody McBride, Dela and Chicago's DJ Heather and Jason Patrick.
