  • DJ and producer Monty Luke is ready to launch a new label called Black Catalogue. Luke knows a thing or two about how to run a label: he's currently the manager for Planet E, Carl Craig's quintessential Detroit imprint. Originally from California's Bay Area, he made his debut with a local outfit: Mothership, a subsidiary of Claude VonStroke's Dirtybird Records. Not long after moving to Detroit, he took the reins at Planet E and put out his first single on the label, Art, Love & War, complete with a remix from Craig himself. Black Catalogue will launch with Tomorrow EP, Luke's third solo effort and his first release in two years. According to XLR8R, Australian duo The Carter Bros are on deck for one of label's future releases. Tomorrow EP will be available next month on vinyl only. Tracklist A1 Tomorrow A2 The Next AA Yesterday & Today Black Catalogue will release Tomorrow EP in September 2011.
