The UK clubbing icon has launched a new record label.
Sasha launched a new label this week called Last Night On Earth.
The project began at this year's International Music Summit in Ibiza. Sasha was tapped to produce the "anthem" for the conference, and came up with a track called "Cut Me Down" featuring the Swedish vocalist Krister Linder. As part of the conference's program, he explained the track's composition in front of a live audience, then handed over the parts to production duo Layo & Bushwacka, who remixed it without having heard the original. These two productions make up the label's debut release, which hit stores on Monday.
Looking ahead, the label will be a platform for records by Sasha and other artists he supports; future releases from Thomas Smith and Max Cooper have already been confirmed. Sleeve designs for the first six records are commissioned works by Cure Studios and Susie Wright. Put together, they form a collage depicting the six cities that are most important to Sasha.
