  • Machinedrum will play live at a Broken Teeth party tonight in New York to launch the North American tour in support of his acclaimed new album Room(s). Travis Stewart has spent a decade producing experimental strands of hip-hop and IDM under his Machinedrum alias. He crafted a handful of albums for the now defunct Merck imprint in the early '00s, and has dabbled in dubstep as one half of Sepalcure. This year he signed with Planet Mu, who released his full-length Room(s) in July—an album RA's Andrew Ryce called "a stunning statement of purpose." Joining him at Public Assembly is another Planet Mu artist, Chicago's Chrissy Murderbot, who put out his third album via the label earlier in the year. Presales for the event are still available here on RA.
