The prolific experimental producer has a new album due out next month.
James Ferraro will release a new album called Far Side Virtual next month.
With more than two dozen albums released since 2008 (most of them cassettes and CD-Rs), under more than ten pseudonyms, Ferraro is an almost comically prolific artist. His music is equally over-the-top: tongue-in-cheek, loaded with pop culture references and delivered in a production style that RA's Sam Louis described as "Bret Easton Ellis's prose come to life." Far Side Virtual is the follow-up to Ferraro's Condo Pets EP, which showed him departing from the lo-fi style of his earlier releases for something more polished and melodic. It will be released digitally and on transparent vinyl via the California-based label Hippos In Tanks.
