The Berlin club will celebrate with a 46-hour party.
Berlin's Salon Zur Wilden Renate (or simply Renate as it is more commonly known) will celebrate four years of operation with Margaret Dygas, The Sorry Entertainers and Makam this weekend.
Located in Friedrichshain, Renate is one of Berlin's more unique club spaces. Spread across a multi-storied housing complex, the venue primarily plays host to local house and disco acts, while occasionally welcoming international guests. It's become well known for its quirky interior, which features an underground maze-like labyrinth, several dance floors and hidden spaces accessible only via ladders.
For the upcoming birthday celebrations, seven levels will be open, several more than most weekend's usual three or four. A hefty batch of Renate regulars have also been enlisted to take the festivities right through to Monday night, with 22Rockets, Britta Arnold and Sebastian Voigt amongst the 30-odd acts set to spin.
