Annie Mac readies 2011 compilation


The Radio 1 host's next mix CD runs the gamut from SBTRKT to Lil Wayne.

This year's edition of Annie Mac Presents is due for release on Monday.

At her gigs and on her weekly show, the Radio 1 host's trademark style is defined by her far-reaching track selections, which aim to offer a snapshot of the current moment in dance music, both underground and mainstream. The Annie Mac Presents series follows this blueprint as well, with this year's mix encompassing everything from platinum-selling hip-hop artists (Lil Wayne and Drake) to UK bass acts like SBTRKT and Toddla T. The two-disc package will be the third in the series so far. As with past editions, it will see release on Island Records.

Mon, 24 Oct 2011The thought of the Aloe Blacc remix made me gag, but I give mad props to Jamie xx, who somehow managed to make Rolling in the Deep go from unbearable to incredible for me.

Tracklist doesn't look too shabby overall, either.
