- Mt Sims guests on the experimental artist's next LP for Warp.
Warp Records will release the next LP by Leila in January.
Leila is an Iranian-born, UK-based producer with a production style that weaves between IDM and experimental pop. She's been putting out records since the mid-'90s, and was a regular on Rephlex before she signed to Warp. Entitled U&I, her new album shows her teaming up with Mt Sims, the American vocalist and producer who last appeared on the album Tomorrow, In A Year with Planningtorock and The Knife. According to a press release, each track on U&I came together extremely quickly, sometimes within 30 minutes of Mt Sims sending Leila an acapella via Dropbox. The record will be Leila's first full-length since her Warp debut, 2008's Blood, Looms & Blooms.
