- Culled from DAT tapes recorded between 1995 and 1998, the record will come out in January.
Early next year, Ninja Tune will release a collection of old material Luke Vibert recorded under the name Plug, entitled Back On Time.
Drum & bass fans of a certain age may remember Plug from the 1996 album Drum 'n' Bass For Papa, an experimental-leaning album that marked one of Vibert's first records under a name other than Wagon Christ. Back On Time collects material from the same era. According to a press release, Vibert discovered the material in early 2011 when he happened upon a cache of old DAT tapes, which were recorded between 1995 and 1998. You can download the album's second track, "Feel So Special," right now on Ninja Tune's website site in exchange for your email address.
