- Prologue will release the first LP by Voices From the Lake in January.
At the end of January, Prologue will release the first LP by Voices From the Lake, a collaborative project by Donato Dozzyand Neel.
Dozzy has firm credentials as both a DJ and a producer. He was an afterhours DJ at Panorama Bar in its early days, and more recently has been a linchpin of Labyrinth, the Japanese festival that's become exalted among techno purists. On record, he's earned cult status with his sparse and atmospheric production style, as heard on his numerous EPs and last year's debut album on Further. Neel, real name Giuseppe Tillieci, is a less established figure—his recording career begins with the first Voices From the Lake EP, which came out on Prologue last summer (he's also credited with mastering The Labyrinth, the EP companion to this year's festival). On Silent Drops EP, Voices From the Lake's only record so far, the duo explored a deep and reflective sound that echoes Dozzy's solo productions. Their self-titled full-length features all previously unreleased tracks. It will be the first album on Prologue since Die Faser, Cio D'or's digital album from 2009.
