- The Brooklyn producer's next LP is a requiem for his father.
Francis Harris (better known as Adultnapper) will release a new album in February called Leland.
According to a press release, Harris made the album in memory of his father, who was named Leland. Stylistically it's a departure from his work as Adultnapper—in keeping with the ethos of Scissor & Thread, the label he co-founded earlier this year, it adds a bit of indie flavor to his usual minimalist house sound, with vocals and an array of live instruments (cello, piano, guitar, etc.). Leland will be Harris's first album under his given name in seven years. All of the tracks are previously unreleased, except for "Lostfound," which came out as a single in October and features Greg Paulus of No Regular Play on trumpet.
