  • Berlin-based techno artist Luca Mortellaro, AKA Lucy, will embark on a four-date tour of the US next month. 2011 was a big year for Lucy and the tough, atmospheric techno he pushes through his label, Stroboscopic Artefacts. The Italian ex-pat released his debut album Wordplay for Working Bees in March, then put out another full-length on SA from Xhin later in the year. On top of that, he produced the tenth edition of the label's acclaimed Monad series of experimental EPs, gigged steadily across Europe, and made his debut in Australia and Japan. For his second set of parties in the States, Lucy will first headline a Soundslike event in Dallas on Friday, February 3rd before going Incognito in LA. The following weekend, he'll will team up with two artists who contributed to his album's remix EP: Belgian techno luminary Peter Van Hoesen tops the bill in San Francisco, and then fellow Berlin resident Tommy Four Seven will play at Lucy's last stateside stop in Brooklyn. Tickets for the tour opener in Dallas can be found here on RA.
