  • Peter Van Hoesen and Yves De Mey have completed their first album as Sendai, called Geotope. The two Belgian producers are a natural fit for each other. Van Hoesen is the acclaimed DJ and producer behind Time To Express, a label that explores the dark and heady side of techno. De Mey is part techno producer, part avant-garde artist, with past credits that include soundtracks for films and modern dance performances as well as a mini-album for Sandwell District. The duo put out two EPs as Sendai back in 2009, and performed live at Labyrinth festival in Japan the same year, but have mostly left the project alone since then. Geotope shows a more experimental side of Sendai than we've seen so far—this time it's mostly glitchy sound design instead of ultra-deep techno. The album will be released in a limited run of 500 vinyl copies. Tracklist 01. Terminal Silver Box 02. Following The Constant 03. A Refusal To Celebrate A Statistical Probability 04. Win Trepsit/Brief Delay 05. Further Vexations 06. EP2010-4 07. Geotope 08. Emptiness Of Attention Time to Express will release Geotope on March 26th, 2012.
