  • Long-serving Bristol venue Lakota will reopen on Friday 10th February. The Stokes Croft venue has been running semi-regular events for the last couple of years (in total Lakota has been open for over two decades) but hasn't staged a party since back in October 2011. They'll open their doors again next Friday, having apparently undergone "thorough and extensive revamping." Influx are the first promoters to take advantage of the newly developed space and have invited Paul Rose, AKA Scuba, and his Hotflush imprint to supply the sounds. Scuba has been moving into increasingly house and techno-themed territory of late, while his forthcoming LP, Personality, pushes a breaks-led and melodically rich sound. This will be offset on the night by Sigha's charcoal techno and George FitzGerald's garage influenced vibes. Influx's Mortal and LMB will provide support on the night.
