The full program has been revealed for the event during Design Indaba next month.
Sonar will travel to South Africa for the first time to present A Taste of Sonar in Cape Town in March.
The day-long event will happen as part of the city's annual Design Indaba event, a multidisciplinary creative festival bringing together architecture, music, film, performing arts and more. It will feature performances from 50 Weapons label heads Modeselektor and Raster-Noton's Byetone, while Ed Banger's Brodinski and 20-year-old local Das Kapital will supply the electro. The Red Bull Music Academy will present a line-up of emerging local acts, which includes sets from previous Academy attendees Culoe De Song and Jullian Gomes. The SonarCinema portion of the event will showcase four presentations, including a conceptual film and a 30-minute screening of an audiovisual work by British artist Theo Burt.
