- Liine will release Houle's remix-based offering at the start of April.
Marc Houle and music app developer Liine have announced details of a new collaboration.
Liine have been continually expanding their Remiix offerings over the last 12 months, with artists contributing apps now including Joris Voorn, Dubfire and Plastikman. The basic premise behind the Remiix is fairly easy to grasp: a selection of the producer's tracks are broken down into constituent parts for the user to then mash together in any way they chose. Loops can be launched in sync, with effects like reverb and tape delays applied to the project. There's then options to share to social media platforms such as Facebook, Soundcloud and Twitter.
In the case of Houle, the Items & Things man has brought together seven selections from his discography, which includes older numbers such as "Bay of Figs," "Edamame," "On It," "Porch" and "Triple E," alongside two tracks—"Undercover" and "Mooder"—from his recently released album.
Liine will release Marc Houle's Remiix App on April 2nd, 2012.
